Virginia City, Nevada - Sesquicentennial Celebration
June 5 - 7, 2009

We are celebrating 150 years on the Comstock Lode.  Exciting and fun events for the whole family will include:

  • Virginia & Truckee Railroad Special Sesquicentennial Trains
  • Virginia City Trolley Rides to Venues
  • Sesquicentennial Parade
  • Dutch Oven/Pasty Cook-off
  • Fireman’s Games & Muster
  • Mountain Man Rendezvous
  • Old West Faire with Historical Displays
  • Hard Rock Drilling Competition
  • Old West Gun Show
  • Historical Arts & Crafts Show
  • Silver Terrace Cemetery Guided Tours

Other special events are still in the planning stages to be held at many of Virginia City's historic attractions.  They include:  Piper's Opera House, Historic Fourth Ward School, St. Mary's Art Center, Gold Hill Hotel and other excting venues.
